OK 'collectionView:didEndDisplayingCell:forItemAtIndexPath:' is called when the cell is deleted

I just noticed that now. Collection's collectionView:didEndDisplayingCell:forItemAtIndexPath: is called when the cell goes out of scope and also when the cell is deleted and is about to go away forever.

Is there a way to know, from inside that method if a cell is just invisible or is being deleted without having to track the cell by other means?
