Android Constraint Layout

Hey Folks I am a Rookie developer.I tried Relative layout when i was working with android.Recently I watched Google i/o video on Constraint layout.

Why constraint layout since there is relative layout

Now I'm working full time as a IOS developer is Constraint layout and Auto layout ios same thing?. This question have been in my head since Google IO.

Can somebody clear it out.
